Type Specimen
Originally a school assignment, this illustrative web page used to convey the mood and feel of the "Press Start" font which has an obvious retro arcade feel about it. I even experimented with CSS animations. Easily one of my favorite projects I've done!
I based this specimen off the Namco Arcade game, Galaga and used the red highlights in the description text to cite a few proper nouns in the way the text crawl does in the original Legend of Zelda. I'm also quite happy with how I got the ship drawn purely with divs and class styling.
